1. Download the Xseries Firmware Programmer from the website www.planon.com/support/drivers

2. Extract the download and run the Xseries Firmware Programmer executable file (InstallWinPenProgSolo.EXE), follow instructions by the installation wizard to complete installation.

3. After the installation is complete, open the Xseries Firmware Programmer from your Start menu --> Planon --> WinPenProgSolo

4. Connect Xseries Pen scanner to PC with USB cable

5. On your Xseries Pen Scanner Press and hold the Power button and the BT button together, until the LCD screen displays the word “BOOTLOADER”

6. Then click “Program”

7. Enter authorization code : solo

8. Please do not disconnect pen while in programming mode

9. Disconnect the Xseries Pen scanner from your PC and close the Xseries Firmware Programmer after the programming has successfully completed.
